How does this role contribute to our collective success?
To assist the Worldwide Property Binders underwriting team in all aspects of the administration of, and data analysis, for the Unit’s business, while gaining an understanding into the other roles within the team such as underwriting.
What will you do in this role?
Be one of the main contacts for all data and administrative queries
Assist the Senior Data Analyst in multiple tasks
Take accurate notes/minutes where required
Support the unit with GAAP management including obtaining bordereaux and resolving queries
Work with underwriters alongside DUA, Contract Certainty, Conduct Risk, Delegated Claims and Actuarial
Assist in all other general underwriting administration and processing functions to ensure efficient workflow within the team
Assist the Senior Data Analyst in building and enhancing the current MI
Maintain bespoke account performance reports and create new ones for any new business accounts
Assist with the production of business planning figures and completing the required templates for future years of account
Monitor rating and inflation environment and identify any trends across the portfolio
Define business problems to facilitate development of analytical solutions
Check weekly premium movement report and ensure accuracy of entry
Perform detailed analysis and identify data anomalies and communicate back to underwriters, brokers and coverholders with the support of the senior data analyst.
Liaise with CAT modelling team on provision of aggregation data and review/analyse results
Liaise with other underwriting departments and functional teams on various issues such as risk entries, premium queries, exception reports and credit control etc. in support of the underwriting team
Preliminary preparation of the data required for pricing spreadsheets working alongside underwriters
Oversee reconciliation of risk, premium and claims bordereaux and track against actual payments
Conduct risk documentation completion and general conduct support
Timely and accurate completion of regulatory returns
Attend coverholder and broker meetings where required in London
General ad-hoc underwriting support
