Security Officer - ( Amazon )

 

We are an SIA-approved contractor with over 9,000 employees operating across the UK. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced security officer to provide support for a blue-chip client, in relation to all security-related matters including people safety issues and site processes.

 

Pay Rate: from £11.80 per hour

 

Shift Pattern: 4 Days on, 4 Off, 4 Nights on, 4 Off

The primary purpose of the role is:

  • To carry out site reception duties
  • To conduct Internal and External site patrols including perimeter, fire doors check.
  • To prevent any unauthorized access to/ within Amazon perimeter and building
  • Support FLEX operations by performing a "documentary check" (Driver licence/National Identity Card) versus a checking list provided by operations
  • Support Van/DA operations checking that DA´s have a badge and wear the high-visibility vest
  • Exit Screening of staff members
  • Site Gatehouse management duties
  • Site Key, badge, and incident report Management
  • Ensure the safety of persons on site by reporting any Health and Safety breaches found.


Operational performance

  • Ensure that access / egress duties are actioned in line with company targets / KPIs.
  • Always adhere to company training and processes in the pursuit of your duties.
  • To provide excellent customer service skills always remaining courteous and professional.
  • Undertake refresher and developmental training as required by your duties.


Data sensitivity

  • Data handled as part of this role may be sensitive in nature and therefore must be always dealt with in line with company policy and GDPR regulations.


Relevant skills and experience

  • Candidates must already possess a valid SIA license
  • Must be computer literate ideally with knowledge of the Google suite and bespoke systems (training for company systems will be provided)
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Must be customer service orientated, always demonstrating professionalism and compassion
  • Ability to remain cool under pressure
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Will need to be a team player but possess the ability to work on own initiative.


General:

  • Show a level of flexibility and be able to adapt to new requests outside of the core role on request.
  • Ensure all requests are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Any other reasonable duties as required by your Line Manager, including reception duties, for which training will be given.
