Responsibilities
  • You will join a growing team of dedicated Project Managers and other related professionals, who work together to deliver construction of Defence related infrastructure and construction projects across the UK Defence estate.
  • This team’s current projects range from large-scale new build construction projects, building fabric and MEP refurbishments, services infrastructure works and building and infrastructure upgrades.
  • You will be given opportunities to manage your own projects, ranging in size and complexity, and taking responsibility for your team’s successful completion of project design and delivery stages.

  • You will be part of WSP’s wider Project and Commercial Management team, giving you further opportunities to work on exciting projects and other sectors across the UK.

  • You will integrate into our team’s flexible working culture, attending meetings remotely and in person, attending client offices and construction sites as appropriate to meet the needs of each client and project.
  • You will help manage and support the growth of our project management team, including development of Early Career Professionals, giving them the benefit of your unique experience and knowledge.
  • You will support our business in securing more work, through leading successful tenders, technical submissions.
  • You will engage with WSP wider initiatives to promote our commitment towards halving the carbon footprint of our designs and client advice by 2030.


Qualifications
  • Are passionate about construction engineering design management, construction, and innovation.
  • Are not afraid to challenge the status quo, to try innovative solutions and learn from past experiences.
  • Can demonstrate your ability to lead, coordinate and manage large multi-disciplinary design teams to consistently deliver complex construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Come from a proven technical Security or Defence construction Project Management background, working as part of a project team and/or leading your own medium-sized projects.
  • Are a Project Management professional, holding a PMQ certification (or similar).
  • Have individual full membership of the APM (or equivalent professional project management body).
  • Hold a degree, or similar higher education qualification.
