Accounts Senior

TPF Recruitment is delighted to support one of our highly regarded clients in the local area with their search for an experienced Accounts Senior to join their growing team. About the Role

As an Accounts Senior, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional client service while managing a varied portfolio of clients. Working within a supportive and collaborative team, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders in line with accounting standards.
  
• Reviewing and finalising accounts prepared by junior staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  
• Preparing corporation and personal tax computations and returns.
  
• Providing general accounting advice and assistance to clients, addressing queries promptly and professionally.
  
• Supporting junior team members through mentoring, training, and technical guidance.
  
• Assisting the team with bookkeeping and VAT returns when required.
  
• Liaising directly with clients and acting as a key point of contact to develop strong, long-term relationships.
  

Requirements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

• Experience in a similar role within a practice environment.
  
• A strong technical understanding of accounting and tax principles.
  
• Part-qualified or fully qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent).
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage, and Microsoft Office applications.
